The Ogun State Government has guaranteed that strict adherence to due process and fair play will be upheld as it moves forward with the process of hiring candidates for the “Ogun TEACh” Scheme.

In order to maintain standards and merit in the hiring process, the Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, gave this assurance during the screening process for Ogun State Teaching Intervention Program (OGUN TEACh) applicants in Abeokuta.

Arigbabu asserted that the exercise had been done from the start in a way that would enable government to get the best results for its educational system. He claimed that hiring qualified individuals to teach in the classrooms would raise the standard of education.

He emphasized that candidates needed to have relevant degrees in education from accredited institutions with at least a second-class or higher in order to be hired into secondary schools. Holders of the National Certificate in Education (NCE) needed to have merit before they could be hired to teach in the primary schools, he added.

The Commissioner stated, “For Candidates To Have Made It Up To The Interview Level, They Have Up To 80% Chance Of Being Employed,” expressing satisfaction with the level of coordination and comportment both from the panelists and the interviewees.

Aminat Adeniji and Oluwaseyi Ajibola, speaking on behalf of other applicants, praised the ministry’s management for the process, calling it easygoing and stress-free.

What Are the Requirements for OGUN TEACh Recruitment?

  • NCE (with the minimum of merit in the teaching subjects) (with the minimum of merit in the teaching subjects)
  • B.A. (Ed), B.Sc. (Ed), or B. Ed (with a minimum grade of second class lower division in the teaching subjects), while those with a B.A. or B.Sc. in any subject for primary or secondary school are also required to have a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from reputable universities.
  • B.Sc. (Ed), B.Sc. (Tech), B.Sc., and HND (for Technical Colleges only)
  • Only applicants who submit an online application, a thorough Curriculum Vitae (CV), and other required supporting documents will be taken into consideration.

How to Successfully Apply via Ogun Teach Login Portal

By logging into teach.ogunstate.gov.ng, applicants are required to submit their applications and register through the Ogun State Job Portal.

After receiving a monthly stipend for two (2) years, successful applicants—known as TEACH interns—will be assigned to Local Government Areas that are in urgent need of their services.

They will then be evaluated on factors like their knowledge, dedication to their jobs, punctuality, respect for established authority, and willingness to work wherever they are posted, among others.

Outstanding Teach Interns may be given consideration for full employment if and when it becomes available after their internship has ended.

Candidates print the acknowledgment and the registered application form after completing the application. It must be submitted to the recruitment department by the deadline listed on the appointment form.
