NCAA Salary Structure & Allowances 2023: In this article, I’ll focus on the NCAA compensation scale for recent B.Sc. and HND grads as well as the qualities needed for entry-level positions. The NCAA’s 2013 budget’s “Certification” page, which our correspondent obtained in Abuja on Sunday, stated that “The management of the NCAA, under the supervision of the Minister of Aviation, is hereby authorized to spend the sum specified in the schedule outlined here from the funds of NCAA during the year ending 31st December 2013, not exceeding N15,316,850,000.”
A copy of the paper was also submitted to the House of Representatives Committee on Aviation, which is looking into the N255 million in bulletproof vehicles that the NCAA purchased for Ms. Stella Oduah, the Minister of Aviation.
NCAA Salary Structure
Nine directors work for the agency and are paid N164.07m annually. This is divided into N18.6 million (base salary) and N142.4 million (allowance).
The DG’s overall compensation is N22.6m, which is broken down into N2.9m (base salary) and N19.9m (benefits) (allowance).
The combined annual salary of the DG and the top nine directors is N186.7 million. About 699 employees of the NCAA are on salary GLs 7–13, and their annual salaries total N1.9 billion. Funding is divided into N426.6 million (basic) and N1.4 billion (allowance).
95 employees are on GL 7, 168 are on GL 8, 139 are on GL 9, 76 are on GL 10, 141 are on GL 12, and 80 are on GL 12.
The aggregate annual salary of 200 senior officials on GLs 14–17 is N1.7 billion. According to the breakdown, the basic salary is N245.7m, while the allowance is N1.4bn.
Also, the NCAA employs 67 staff workers on GL 14, 62 on GL 15, 52 on GL 16, and 19 on GL 17.
56 employees on GLs 4-6 are at the bottom of the pay scale and receive a combined salary of N68.7 million annually.
The basic pay for this group is N13.1m, while the annual allowance is N53.6m.
A further breakdown shows that the 67 employees on GL 14 make a collective N315.6 million, the 62 employees on GL 15 make N597.6 million, and the 52 employees on GL 16 make N584.1 million.
The 19 senior officials on GL 17 receive a combined salary of N282.4 million, increasing the total compensation for this group (GLs 14–17) to N1.7 billion annually.
The 95 employees on GL 7 make a total of N171.7 million, the 168 employees on GL 8 make N363.2 million, and the 139 employees on GL 9 make N347.08 million.
The 76 employees on GL 10 make N222.1 million annually, the 141 employees on GL 12 make N548.5 million, and the remaining 80 employees on GL 13 make N331.09 million annually, bringing the total for this group of employees (GLs 7–13) to N1.9 billion.
The 12 employees on GL 4 make N12.7 million annually, while the 22 employees on GL 5 make N26.06 million and the 22 employees on GL 6 make N29.9 million. This brings the total for the category (4-6) to N68.7 million.
