The portal was introduced by the National Social Investment Management System (NASIMS) as part of the efforts to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the various social intervention programs in the country.
The biometric enrollment portal is aimed at ensuring transparency and accountability in the disbursement of funds to beneficiaries, by eliminating the possibility of multiple enrollments and fraudulent activities.

Enrolling on the NASIMS Biometric Enrollment Portal is a simple and straightforward process that requires beneficiaries to follow these steps:
To enroll, beneficiaries are required to visit the official NASIMS portal at https://nasims.gov.ng.
Once on the portal, click on the “Login” button at the top right-hand corner of the page. On the login page, click on the “Forgot Password” button to create a new password. Enter your email address, then click on “Send Link.” A password reset link will be sent to your email address. Click on the link to create a new password.
After creating a new password, log in to your account and complete your personal information on the dashboard. Ensure that all information provided is accurate and matches the information on your National Identification Number (NIN) card.
Once your personal information is completed, click on the “Verification” tab on the dashboard, and select “Capture Your Fingerprint.” Follow the on-screen instructions to capture your biometric data, including your fingerprints and facial recognition information.
After capturing your biometric data, click on the “Submit” button to complete your enrollment. You will receive a confirmation message on your dashboard and via email.
