Fundamental Requirements for ILO Recruitment

In order to have a successful application in the ongoing 2024 International Labour Organization, ILO recruitment, all qualified applicants must meet the eligibility criteria listed below.

Basic Competencies

This role requires, in addition to the ILO’s basic competencies, the following: demonstrated and recognized technical and/or managerial leadership;
Capability to manage and lead a work unit’s research operations;
Capability to create conclusions on legal issues where practices or precedents do not exist or are contradictory;
Ability to give authoritative counsel to colleagues and constituents as well as conduct meetings; sensitivity and discretion
The capacity to offer seasoned counsel on best practices and address bigger concerns outside of one’s field of competence.

The ability to create training materials, alternative courses of action, project proposals, policy issues, and procedural issues and present them at high-level meetings; build and synthesize strategies for program development in the Member States;
The ability to write reports (for example, reports for regional conferences and the International Labour Conference, technical publications, training manuals, and draft resolutions), as well as review and monitor development cooperation activities and projects.
The ability to advise on policy;
The ability to work in a multicultural setting and exhibit gender-sensitive and non-discriminatory behavior and attitudes.
