Category A: General Duty (Superintendent Cadre)
- Superintendent of Corrections (NCoS) – CONMESS 02
- Requirements: MBBS Degree in Medicine & Surgery.
- Assistant Superintendent I (FFS only) – COMPASS 09
- Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, etc.).
- Assistant Superintendent II – COMPASS 08
- Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in any discipline.
Category B: Inspectorate Cadre
- Inspector (NCoS, NSCDC, FFS only) – CONHESS 06
- Requirements: Registered Nurse (RN), Midwife (RM), or RN/M from a recognized institution.
- Assistant Inspector – COMPASS 06
- Requirements: NCE or National Diploma (ND).
Category C: Assistant Cadre
- Assistant I (General Duty) – COMPASS 04
- Requirements: SSCE/NECO/GCE with minimum 5 credits in not more than 2 sittings.
- Assistant III (Artisans, Drivers, Mechanics) – COMPASS 03
- Requirements: SSCE/NECO + Trade Test Grade III (e.g., Motor Drivers, Electricians, Mechanics).
General Requirements
- Must be a Nigerian citizen by birth.
- Age: Between 18 and 35 years.
- Physically and mentally fit.
- Certificate of medical fitness from a government hospital.
- Height:
- Male: Not less than 1.65m
- Female: Not less than 1.60m
- Chest (males): Minimum 0.87m
- Must not have any criminal conviction or financial embarrassment.
